Reach 2022 Pigments is a new initiative from the European Union that aims to reduce environmental impacts caused by pigments used in industrial and consumer products. The goal of Reach 2022 Pigments is to replace hazardous substances with safer alternatives, such as biodegradable or non-toxic materials.
How long do pigments last?
Pigment fades over time, because of the skin natural exfoliation process. To keep fresh color touch-up session is recommended usually after one to two years. Pigments used for permanent makeup are thinner than pigments used for a tattoo, so the color is not that intense and fades over time.
